About the EANS
The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) is a supranational and independent association of national European
neurosurgical societies and individual members. The EANS arranges congresses, scientific meetings and symposia, such as the annual
Vice-president winter meetings, the quadrennial European Congress of
Neurosurgery and the European Training courses.
The Executive Committee is the legislative body of the EANS and consists of representatives from national member societies and individual members.
The Executive Committee meets twice in every 4-year cycle and further extraordinary meetings of the Committee can be called. The Administrative
Council (AC) of the EANS implements decisions taken by the Executive Committee. The Council meet at least once a year, during the EANS Winter Meetings. The EANS also has an
Executive Board, which looks after the day-to-day business of the Association. Officers are elected for a term of 4 years, The President and Chairman of the Training Committee are elected
at the last meeting of the Executive Committee before the European Congress. All other officers are elected at the meeting of the Executive Committee, which takes place during the
European Congress. Much of the EANS's work is carried out by its Committees.

The EANS is constituted in Belgium and its constitution has been filed in Gent, Belgium.
